Today would have been Tupac Shakur's 45th birthday and as a gift, we received the first trailer for a biopic on his life. All Eyez on Me follows Tupac throughout his life, with very real glimpses into his childhood in Harlem, family life, and his rise to fame. Tupac is being played by Demetrius Shipp Jr., and Tupac's late mother is played by Danai Gurira from The Walking Dead. Gurira narrates the trailer, saying, "They will give you the tools you need to destroy yourself." Jamal Woolard will play The Notorious B.I.G. and Stefon Washington is playing Sean "Diddy" Combs.
The movie gives us high hopes, especially after the success of the biopic Straight Outta Compton. Benny Boom has finally signed on as director and it looks like he mastered the tone of the picture beautifully. You can see All Eyez on Me in theaters November 11th, and until then, you can see the trailer below.
