Lucy Hale, my personal favorite liar from Pretty Little Liars, is usually known for her preppy and colorful style but she goes for darks in Schön! Magazine‘s shoot. There is one aspect of the images that are really turning some heads: Hale is wearing Bantu knots. Bantu knots are said to have originated in southern Africa many centuries ago.
In Hale’s pictures, it is arguable that these knots could be horns to fit in with the witchy vibe, which brings us to an important question. Is this cultural appropriation, or an expression of artistic vision?
