Judging by the trailer, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates seems like a perfect blend of Wedding Crashers, Neighbors, and Bridesmaids. The film will feature Zac Efron and Pitch Perfect and Workaholics‘ Adam DeVine as Mike and Dave, two party bros beyond the acceptable age who desperately need dates for their sister’s wedding.
Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza help them out, and seem to be even more reckless than the titular duo in a way that is reminiscent of Broad City. The two basically agree to go as dates because they want a free trip to Hawaii (who doesn’t?) and try to make themselves seem “respectable as fuck.”
The film was directed by Jake Szymanski and looks like a wild ride. It will be in theaters June 8th, and until then, you can see the trailer below.
