As the Republican National Convention continues, James Corden reminded the United States just how much we’re going to miss the Obamas. In the latest installment of “Carpool Karaoke,” Corden was accompanied by none other than the FLOTUS herself, Michelle Obama. “I’ve been in a car—it was months ago—with my daughter who learned to drive. And that was the only time in seven and a half years that I’ve been in the passenger seat listening to music, rocking out like this’, she said.
During the session, FLOTUS totally killed it on some of her favorites including Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” and Stevie Wonders “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours.” She even sang “This is For My Girls,” a Let Girls Learn Initiative benefit song that features some of our fav ladies: Kelly Clarkson, Janelle Monáe, and Missy Elliott who made a surprise appearance in the backseat to deliver her verse.
The session was filmed weeks ago so it didn’t address the plagiarism scandal, but FLOTUS really didn’t have to just because it spoke for itself. Michelle Obama will be so missed at the White House, but at least we will always have this video to enjoy.
