Philly native Will Smith showed some love for Miami with a live performance of his 90s hit (obviously, “Miami”) at a Suicide Squad party this week. He returned to the sunshine state to promote the film alongside co-stars Margo Robbie (who plays Harley Quinn), Karen Fukuhara (who plays Katana), Jay Hernandez (who plays El Diablo), and director David Aye.
The party took place in the Wynwood area, and of course, featured an epic mural. With a movie coming out soon, Smith has been making efforts towards re-launching his music career with collab partner DJ Jazzy Jeff, with the two already hitting up the studio. We’ve recorded about 25 songs and have four or five I actually like. Jeff and I will be back here [in the U.K.] this summer to do shows, real shows,” he said, according to the Inquisitor.
Until then, you can catch Will Smith as Deadshot in Suicide Squad which arrives in theaters August 5th.
