Brat Pitt and Marion Cotillard are to costar in a WWII-era espionage romance, and it seems like this was their purpose in life. At least that’s what we think after seeing the trailer for Allied.
Pitt and Cotillard star as spies who meet over some target practice, and eventually fall in love, get married and all that, all while trying to assassinate a high ranking Nazi. Pitt plays British intelligence officer Max Vatten who falls for Cotillard’s character, Marianne Beausejour, a French Resistance fighter, while on a mission to Casablanca. The film was directed by Robert Zemeckis, and while it depends heavily on the costars’ ability to pull off period garb, there are high Oscar-hopes for this one.
The film is set to hit theaters on November 23rd, but until then, you can watch the trailer below.
