NBC promised they’d show a Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer at some point during a commercial break during their footage of the Olympics last night. With each break, fans were more and more anxious, with many taking to Twitter. At around 10:40PM, they showed the newest trailer for the film and it is confirmed that Felicity Jones is a bad ass. The trailer also teased the return of a legendary character, Darth Vader. The trailer provided a better preview of the cast of the film with Forest Whitaker, Diego Luna, and Riz Ahmed. The film is supposed to be a bit of a prequel, as it follows a group of rebels who are tasked with stealing the blueprints of the Death Star from a terrifying looking Ben Mendelsohn.
The film is set to hit theaters December 16th, and we can’t wait. In the mean time, you can watch the trailer below. Enjoy!
