Phantogram premiered their newest song “Cruel World” from their upcoming album THREE. “I’m putting you out of your misery/Cuz darling you’re dragging me down/I wish I could say that I’m sorry/But I’m over that now,” sings front woman Sarah Barthel.
In an interview with Complex, she said, “Cruel World was one of the first songs we wrote for THREE. It set the tone for the album in a huge way for us. The overall message is about how tragic life can be at times – how the world can bring you down… But you have to try to find the beauty in it sometimes.” The group’s new album is set to drop on October 7th via Republic Records.
