In March, Chanel announced that Willow Smith would be the face for the brand in a new, upcoming eyewear collection. That day has finally arrived, and Smith does not disappoint. The obviously high profile Chanel Eyewear campaign for Fall 2016/Winter 2017 is not something just anyone could photograph and so of course Karl Lagerfeld was brought on board to handle all that. Lagerfeld captured the fun, playful nature of the child star (sometimes I forget she’s 15), but reminds us of Chanel’s constantly solidified presence in the fashion industry.

The shoot shows Chanel’s inclusion of women of color, which is a big deal in fashion, in a way that breathes life into a brand that has been around for quite a while. Here’s to future campaigns just as wonderful. Congrats to Willow on this gig, and being a bad ass 15 year old who can do it all!
