Saturday Night Live officially announced three new cast members for their upcoming new season, and it’s a big deal. Rumors surrounding longtime SNL writer Mikey Day becoming a feature player were confirmed, and Alex Moffat and Melissa Villaseñor will also be coming on board.

After letting go veterans Taran Killam and Jay Pharaoh earlier this year, it’s no surprise that new cast members have joined. Both former cast members were known for their impressions, and so Villaseñor is meant to fill this void. Her Youtube reels show off impressions of Natalie Portman, Maria Bamford, Barbara Walters, Sarah Silverman, and even Owen Wilson.

Day is a seasoned SNL vet so we know he’s going to fit right in. The mystery here lies with Moffat who has little online presence, unlike most comedians nowadays. Vanity Fair pointed out his web series is impossible to find online, so we just gotta trust that Lorne Michaels knows what he’s doing.
