Danny Brown could no longer wait, and dropped his new album Atrocity Exhibition before its scheduled release date.
Last week, the Detroit rapper stopped by Beats 1 with Zane Lowe and previewed a huge amount of material, breaking down the meaning of his songs one by one. On the show, they debuted “Downward Spiral,” “Hell for It,” “Ain’t It Funny, “Dance in the Water,” and the the album’s weed song according to Brown, “Get Hi” featuring B-Real.
The entire album took 2 years to write, and a year to record according to Brown in a Twitter Q&A session #AskDannyBrown. In the session he also spoke about his favorite new school rappers, his favorite System of a Down song, and rappers people are currently sleeping on.
The album has features by Kendrick Lamar and Earl Sweatshirt – and you can listen to it below. Enjoy!
